TVJ’S Junior Schools Challenge Quiz

Continuing a tradition of excellence

The TVJ Schools Challenge Quiz series, which started in 2003, is now in its 22nd season and is a continuation of that tradition of excellence which started with the High School Quiz in 1969. The competition took a break in 2020 due to Covid 19 but resumed in 2021. For the 21 champions so far, 11 are from Prep Schools and 10 are from Primary Schools

The Questions for TVJ’s Junior Schools Challenge Quiz come from the four core areas in the Primary School syllabus.

• English Language • Mathematics • Social Studies • Science

There are also questions from the following areas:

• Local & International Affairs (News) • Local and International Sports • General Knowledge • Bible Knowledge

• Music & Movies • Jamaican Culture

The TVJ Junior Schools Challenge Quiz offers our children the opportunity to broaden knowledge, discipline, and a wholesome competitive spirit. There is heavy emphasis on local and regional affairs as the quiz seeks to engender a spirit of nationalism and regionalism among our youngsters.
