In reference to the program Born In Trench Town, it is good to know that someone realizes the significance of documenting Trench Town, but when Neville asked him if it will be a money making venture, he hesitated to offer a true and quick response. My feeling is that someday to come, perhaps not too far from now, that it will be making money, and it won't be shared with the respondents. People always come with a smile on their faces, but behind that smile is usually a well planned scheme. I will only believe it, if they will do all their editing in Jamaica, and ultimately leave all 60 hours including the documentary in Jamaica. Those many hours of recorded video will return with them, and sooner than later, will be disected into many parts for a financial return to them without having to share the proceeds. Jamaicans are too naive and will allow any and everyone to manipulate us. You Neville with your foreign exposure and experience, along with TVJ, should follow up on this in a quest to bring renumeration for those involved. Remember how we trusted them and their missionaries, until they enslaved us. Only time has changed, they have remained the same. Only that this time it is exploitation.
There is something fishy to me about them and this adventure they have embarked on. I know we need help and assistance from whence it may come but we cannot and must not be so trusting of everyone. Pres. Ronald Reagan said that one can trust but must verify. I hope you all can make some sense from this comment. My intentions are good, so don't let me be mis-understood.
